This antique wooden decoy pigeon was used for pigeon hunting.
At the bottom, you can see a hole where the pigeon was placed on a stick in the field.
The beak is made of metal. This was done because a wooden beak would quickly break off during use.
The shape is quite sleek but was handcrafted from wood.
