This type of porcelain is known as Vieux Paris (Old Paris porcelain). In the 19th century, it was a tradition in France for a newlywed couple to receive these types of vases as a wedding gift. The vases were often placed under a glass dome, along with the bridal crown and other souvenirs from the wedding day.
The vases are still completely intact and have always been well-preserved with their branches.
They date from approximately 1850-1880.
The flowers and leaves were made of paper and fabric.
They are sold as a pair.
