Distraction
They are over again, the Open Days. This time just on my website.
I was a bit dreading it. So many products on my website at once, does that work for customers?
no snacks and drinks, no chatting, no cozy atmosphere, no romance...
It was purely about the products, without experience. And were my products attractive enough?
And if many customers are dissatisfied because someone else beat them to it?
I couldn't give anyone personal attention because of the crowds. There was no room for regular emails or FB messages.
It made me quite insecure and with a spinning feeling in my stomach at 11 a.m. all the products were on my website one by one. I feel my heart beating in my throat.
Orders are pouring in even before all the products are on my website.
Many orders contain a heart-warming message, which makes me more and more convinced that I did it right.
There are even some sweet cards coming in the mail.
It gives me a lot of distraction now.
Oh, there are probably customers who are disappointed because they couldn't get what they were hoping for, but that's no different with a regular open day.
And so I have two pleasant days behind the computer that exceeded expectations.
A lot is being ordered and on Sunday evening I look back on two unforgettable open days.
Different from other open days, successful, but also marked by an uncertain and miserable time around us.
Is brocante important in such a period? No, not important, but it is a wonderful distraction.
There are now a lot of empty places in my store, but there are still a lot of beautiful things on my website.
And this fits very well within the rules that we all have to adhere to.
I would like to thank all the lovely customers who turned these two days into something very positive.
